Meet Jim Schiferl

Agent Bio

Jim has been a Wisconsin licensed real estate broker since 1970.  He was born and raised on a dairy farm in rural Dorchester, graduated from Dorchester High School in 1956 as Valedictorian.  Following graduation Jim attended college at Wisconsin State University, River Falls for one year.  He worked as a real estate agent and auction clerk with Christensen Sales Corporation  from 1958 to 1973.  In 1973 he founded Schiferl Realty and has been active in the real estate and auction business for almost 55 years.

Jim is the President and Founder of the Schiferl Family Charitable Foundation, Inc.   He is a 50 year member and past president of the Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce.  Jim has served on the Abbotsford City Council for 12 years and is past president of the police commission.  He has received the local business of the year and the citizen of the year awards.  Jim also has worked on the Abbotsford's annual Christmas Parade since its inception 44 years ago and presently serves as the Parade Raffle Chairman. 

Jim married his high school sweetheart, Pauline over 50 years ago.  Together, they have 4 children and 10 grand children.  Both are members and past presidents of the Lions Club.  Together, they have logged over 20 Wisconsin Lions Eye Glass Missions to Mexico, Honduras and Nicaragua and have serve as tissue transporters and dispatchers for the Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin.
